Info Sought on Missing Man

Lane County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the whereabouts of a 38 year old male that was last seen camping with his family at Honeyman State Park on Saturday.  Jeremy Golden was last seen about 6pm on Saturday at the campgrounds south of Florence.  A ground team from Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue assembled yesterday morning and searched several miles of trails that Golden’s family expected he might have used.  The search turned up no sign of him.  He was last seen wearing black shorts, a white tank top and black shoes.  He is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 250 pounds with short black hair and blue eyes.  Lane County Sheriff’s are asking for information from anyone who might have seen Golden, or knows his location.  541-682-4141.

Special Weather Statement

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for today.  They are reporting an increased chance for sneaker waves on the beaches.  Beachgoers should stay off rocks and logs on the beach as waves can move large objects and sweep them away.  People have been seriously injured and even killed when sneaker waves rolled object over onto them.  People should also be concerned about their pets and keep them safe.  This warning remains in effect until 9am Wednesday.
