Play-in Still Possible
The Viking girls volleyball team hosted Junction City last night. It was Graduation Recognition Night. The name change due to junior Lindsey Long who will graduate early this year. Coach Jonathan Hornung said the girls played hard in the first two sets, but came out on the losing end. 25-21, 25-22, He said the battle took a toll on the team and the third set they fell 25-10. The loss did not completely eliminate them from a playoff, but the picture is not clear.
“We’re still looking like maybe we can sneak in and steal a play in game, right now we don’t know who it would be against but we’re still gonna practice and we’re still going strong.”
The Vikings are 4-6 in league play and 10-11 overall. Junction City remains undefeated in league play.
