Ducks Rose Bowl Champs
The Oregon Ducks are Rose Bowl Champions. The Ducks narrowly defeated the Wisconsin Badgers yesterday in a 28-27 back and forth battle that saw lead changes on special teams and defensive efforts. The Ducks had several takeaways that resulted in scores including a snatch and score by Brady Breeze after pressuring Wisconsin’s punter on a fourth and long. Breeze also caused a late fumble that QB Justin Herbert turned into 7 points on a 30 yard touchdown run. Herbert scored all of the Ducks Offensive touchdowns, running for all three. Herbert and Breeze were named co-MVPs of the game.
College Hoop Schedule
College hoops this evening has the opening of the Pac Twelve season as Oregon State is in Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Utes. Pregame on KCFM is at 5pm, tip off in the John Huntsman Arena is at 5:30. Oregon travels to Colorado for action at 6 o’clock against the Buffalo. Pregame on KCST is at 5:30 from Boulder’s CU Events Center Arena.
Viking Hoops
Tomorrow Prep hoops has Siuslaw playing in tournament action at 7:30 at Bandon’s Harbor Lights Middle School in the Holiday Classic Invitational. The Viking Boys will be taking on East Linn. The girls will play East Linn earlier in the evening at 6 o’clock. Tournament play continues Saturday in Bandon.
