Viking Hosted Marshfield
There was a lot of basketball over the weekend. On Friday night the Siuslaw Vikings hosted Marshfield in league action. The Viking Boys were troubled by turnovers as they got within 5 points of the Pirates in the second half, but ultimately losing 64-55.
It was foul trouble that got the Lady Vikings. In the fourth quarter the Pirates made 8 of 12 from the free throw line, which was the difference in the game. Mia Collins led the Vikings with 13 points but fell to Marshfield 34-29.
Ducks Over UCLA
The Oregon men were on the court last night against UCLA. Chris Duarte scored 24 points as the Ducks toppled the Bruins 96-75.
Beavers on Skid
The Oregon State Beavers continue to struggle as they faces the USC Trojans on Saturday. They lost their fourth straight game and fall to 2-6 in the PAC 12. Losing 75-55.
Civil War Goes to Lady Ducks
The Lady Ducks and OSU ladies duked it out over the weekend with the Ducks taking both Civil War games. Friday the Ducks hosted the game in Eugene with a 76-64 victory and defeated the Beavers again last night in Corvallis 66-57. It was a tough night for Sabrina Ionescu, as news broke prior to last night’s game on the death of NBA star Kobe Bryant, with whom Ionescu had developed a close bond over the past several years.
