Ionescu Positioned for Another Award
Sabrina Ionescu is last year’s winner of the National Player of the Year Award, the Wade Trophy, and she has been named as one of the four finalists for this year’s award. Ionescu joins Dana Evans of Louisville, Tyasha Harris of South Carolina, and Aari McDonald of Arizona as the four finalists. Four other players have received back to back trophys and the only three-time winner is WNBA star Maya Moore, who played her college ball at UConn.
