Early this morning a stabbing victim was transported to Peace Harbor hospital at around 1 am. the victim did not survive the incident. The Lane County Sheriff’s office is reporting that the Oregon State police have located the suspect in the attack, but it is not known if 32 year old Gregory Cross of Florence is in custody at this time. There has been an active search for him since early this morning with assistance the Florence Police, the Oregon State Police, the Douglas County Sheriff’s office, the Reedsport Police and the Eugene Police. The Lane County Sheriff’s office is saying this is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
