Vikings Defeated by Lions

The Siuslaw Viking were on the court last night at home.  The Viking girls had a struggle against the Cottage Grove Lions.  The girls scored 16 points to the Lions 46.

The boys struggled at the beginning of their game falling to a 23 point deficit before finding their rhythm.  They managed to battle back but the deficit was just a little more than they could handle.  Braydon Thornton had 23 on the night and Jacob Foskett had 14.  On senior night the Vikings came within 7, but fell to the Lions 73-66.  The Vikings added a last minute games against North Bend today, but last minute scheduling issues will prevent KCST from covering the games.

Wrestlers Compete

The Siuslaw Viking boys were on the mat in Sweet Home yesterday.  Seniors Christian Newlan and Elijah LaCosse finished with second place scores as did sophomore Hunter Petterson.  8 Viking Boys qualified  The Viking girls will be on the mat today at Cottage Grove.

Sailors/Alsea

The Mapleton Sailors will play their final game against Alsea tomorrow with a game time of 5:30.
