Emeralds Baseball
The Eugene Emeralds closed out their series with Spokane with a win on Sunday. The Indians had taken the two previous games from the Ems, 8-4 and 6-2. Last night the Ems pounced quickly to set the tone for the game with a three run homer in the first and a two run homer in the second, all toll 7 runs in the first two innings. They added an 8th run on a solo homer in the 4th. the Indians struck back in the bottom of the 4th with a three run homer and a run on a base hit with two men on. The Ems added three runs in the seventh, two of them coming on yet another home run by Short Stop Jimmy Glowenke. Final 12-5. Eugene is now a game and a half behind the Vancouver Canadians who they face this week for a 6 game series
