Prep Basketball
Last night the Siuslaw Vikings hosted the Harrisburg Eagles in Mountain Valley Conference league basketball. The Vikings pulled down the win to give them a 1-1 record in the conference. Andrew Jensen Norman missed out on a double-double with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Jimmy Allen scored 15 for the Viks and pulled down 5 rebounds. Gave De Leon 9 points and Michael Felkins added 9 for a final score 51-47.
The Viking girls were also on the court in the late game. The Eagle girls overwhelmed the Vikings 54-8.
The Mapleton Sailor boys had a difficult time against the Alsea Wolverines. The Wolverines held the sailors to just 9 points while scoring 47.
The Sailor Girls did not play.
Viking Wrestling
Viking wrestlers are headed for La Pine today for a meet. Matches will begin at 4 pm.
College Hoops
The Oregon State Beavers host the Arizona Wildcats tomorrow evening at Gill Coliseum. The pre-game on KCFM will begin at 7:30. The Oregon Ducks will host Arizona State, that game will have a 5:30 pregame on KCST
