Updating Mitigation Plan

Lane County is looking for feedback on its Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan.  The plan is updated every five years. And looks at potential natural hazards and how to reduce significant impact and minimize long-term risk from such hazards. It is county’s local blueprint to help protect people and property. Updating this plan also makes Lane County and its partner cities eligible for federal grants and funding to help mitigate potential impacts from disasters such as fuels reduction to reduce our risk of wildfire.  Residents can weigh in on the plan update: by taking a short survey. The survey opened in mid-February. More information is available at lanecountyor.gov.
